How To Decorate Your Holiday Dinner Table
Can you believe that Christmas came and left as fast as a flash? Was decorating your dining room table for entertainment part of the fun for you? If so, here are some ideas for you to use your talents for upcoming holidays.
For sure, include flowers as the focal point of your table centerpieces. Even if the flowers you want to use are not grown in your area, a florist, like Abbott Florist, will still be able to obtain them.
Valentine's Day - Red, of course! A beautiful floral arrangements with red roses as the principal flower would be very appropriate for your Valentine's Day table. If you are wanting a fun and casual arrangement, tuck little hearts and cupids in the flowers. For this type of arrangement, a pottery or a brass pitcher would be perfect. For a more formal arrangement, still use the red roses, but enhance them with baby's breath. A crystal vase or a silver vase would be lovely.
St.Patrick's Day - This time, go with a lot of green. Did you know that carnations can be dyed any color you want them dyed? St. Patrick's Day is all about fun and anything Irish. Purchase plastic clovers on sticks which can be placed in the arrangement. A green vase would be great for your St. Patrick's Day table. If you can get your hands on some porcelain or china leprechauns to set next to the arrangement, that would add charm to your arrangement.
Easter Sunday - Pastel flowers of different types would be wonderful for your Easter table. Lilies are a great choice. For some added drama, combine baby's breath and different ivies in the arrangement, If you are trying to set a religious tone, set a Holy Bible next to the arrangement and place some baby's breath and some ivy on top of it. For a fun arrangement, set ceramic bunnies around the arrangement.
Mother's Day - Who will be at your Mother's Day table? Find out her favorite flowers and use them in the arrangement. Of course, if you have more than one mother at the table, find out the favorite flowers of each mother. A sweet touch would be have a little gift as part of the arrangement, perhaps a gift-wrapped box of decadent chocolates. It will be fun to use these as party favors. And, if there is only one mother at the table, a special treat would be for her to take home the entire centerpiece.
